Everyone is Sleepwalking

"Most of us all walk around as if we're sleepwalking.  We really don't experience the world fully, because we're half asleep, doing things we automatically think we have to do."  A lot of people put work as the highest priority, higher than everything.  Yes, work is extremely important, and if you don't work, then you can't get the money to pay bills, put food on the table, etc.  Even though work is extremely important, family is more important.  Since so many people put work as their number one priority, all they do is work.  They don't enjoy themselves, or go on vacation, spend time with family, etc.  These people are the ones who are sleepwalking.  All they are doing is the work aspect of life.  There are many more aspects to life, such as exercising, family, relaxing, etc.  Many people are also forced to do things that they don't want or need to do.  Such things include going to places where other people are, just so that you can make them happy.

  1. This is quite true. So many people do things without even thinking if it's necessary, or even worth their time to do it. But hey, it's their life, and it's their choices.

  2. You're right, people do over value work. Work is important, but there are other things to do in life as well. If you feel that you're not enjoying your life enough, then you should find other things to do.
